I’ve been a State Farm agent for 35 years, and I have more than 40 total years of experience helping families manage everyday risk and plan for their futures. I’m proud to serve the residents of Shelby, NC and the surrounding communities in Cleveland County—my agency handles homeowners insurance, auto insurance, life insurance, business insurance and more, including financial services.   I’ve owned and operated the Shelby agency for over 25 years. It was my father-in-law who first got me interested in the State Farm, and I worked for him for seven years while I learned the business from the ground up. He was “Mr. State Farm” for many years in his community, and he taught me the value of working with a company that was established and trusted by customers all over the country. He also taught me the value of excellent customer service, and I’ve been striving to do justice to those lessons every day since.   Listening to customers and learning their needs is a big part of what we do. Insurance is always personal in the end, so the unique details of your situation really do matter to us. But we’re probably best known for our expertise, earned through decades of experience. Our customers always tell us: “No one is as accurate and detailed as you are.” And to be honest, we never get tired of hearing it. We take great pride in helping our friends and neighbors protect the things that matter most.   I was born and raised right here in North Carolina. I’m a graduate of Limestone College in South Carolina, but aside from my studies, I’ve spent almost my entire life living between Hickory, Charlotte and now Shelby. I love our downtown area and the arts community here in town, and I’m proud to join with and support my fellow business owners as a member of the Cleveland County Chamber of Commerce.
